Abstract:
The potential of neuroimage databases to accelerate the dissemination and utilization of information about brain structure and function is enormous and ever increasing. Numerous efforts are currently underway to further develop the technology and sociology necessary to support this revolution. Each has its own approach and tackles some of the complex and difficult problems associated with creating and providing access to a database. This paper introduces many of the recent successes and future challenges facing the developers and users of neuroimage databases.
